Avner Canan

VP R&D

As VP R&D at HyperCharge, Avner manages the various R&D groups from organic Synthesis, inorganic nanomaterials all the way to the scaled-up product. Avner brings 25 years of R&D experience to HyperCharge. Before joining HyperCharge, Avner held several management positions as VP R&D in Siklu and bTendo (eventually acquired by STMicroelectronics), Go Networks (acquired by Nextwave wireless) where he was also member of the founding team, and Ceragon Networks. Avner began his career at the Special Development Unit of Israel’s Ministry of Defense, where he received the Israel Defense Award for research and development. Avner holds a BSc and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
